Rapper DMX arrested at Phoenix mall on felony charge of ID theft!!

Rapper DMX has been arrested AGAIN at a Phoenix mall on a felony charge of taking the identity of another. Phoenix police didn't have details of the charge, as it stemmed from a Maricopa County Sheriff's Office case. Hill says DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was taken for booking into the Maricopa County jail.

The musician/actor has had a recent string of run-ins with the law, including an arrest at Phoenix Sky Harbour Airport earlier this month on outstanding warrants after he failed to appear in court. The week before, he was arrested in Miami on charges of attempting to purchase cocaine and marijuana. DMX was also arrested on July 2, June 27, June 23, May 9 and May 7 of this year.

Is this guy being targeted or what? Don't celebs have phony names and identities anyway? Move the hell out of Arizona!

Page's drug charges prompt Barenaked Ladies to cancel upcoming kids show!!!

Drug possession charges against the Barenaked Ladies lead singer Steven Page have prompted the band to cancel a scheduled performance at a children's concert in New York. Following the release of their first children's album "Snacktime," the band was slated to perform at next month's Disney Music Block Party on Long Island. But in a statement posted on the band's website, manager Terry McBride said the "Ladies" chose to cancel the concert out of respect for the sponsor. More at Impaired Stars.

A rapper who was arrested at gunpoint in a case of mistaken identity has written about the moment he stepped off a train into a "really bad dream". Nzube Udezue, 21, a University of Oxford graduate, was ordered to lie face-down and handcuffed by armed police at Bournemouth train station.

MRS SHANTE DOGG CLEARED OF DUI!

SNOOP DOGG's wife has been cleared of driving under the influence of marijuana, because police failed to provide enough evidence against her. Shante Broadus was pulled over in the early hours of 14 June (08) while driving in Fullerton, California. She was detained and booked on DUI charges. But the Orange County District Attorney has rejected the case, claiming there is insufficient evidence to prove her driving was impaired. Broadus married the rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, in 1997.

I am hearing that police arrested my boy Young Jeezy around 2:30 AM this morning for DUI, speeding, reckless driving, no tags, driving with an open container and no proof of insurance. He was released this morning on bail. He'll be back in court on July 17. Slow down...............

Winnipeg, Manitoba Rapper Fresh I.E gets an apology from Police Chief Keith McCaskill!

As reported by Chris Richburg of Allhiphop: Just days after he was mistakenly pulled over and forced out of his car at gunpoint by Winnipeg police officers, Grammy nominated Christian rapper Fresh I.E. received an apology from the city’s police chief.

According to Winnipeg police Chief Keith McCaskill, the error occurred Wednesday (June 4) after officers called in the license plate number of the rapper’s Chrysler 300 to a staff member to run it through a police computer. The officers, who were at a Starbucks coffee shop, were suspicious after they saw the car exit the store’s drive-thru only and immediately swing back around and quickly drive past the take-out window again.

As it turned out, Fresh I.E.(born Robert Wilson) and his 20-year-old passenger Alex Smerchynski had forgotten a coffee and drove through a second time in order to retrieve it. "These two people (in) that vehicle did absolutely nothing wrong...this was our mistake," McCaskill told the Winnipeg Free Press. After the police boxed in his vehicle, Wilson, who also serves as a Christian minister, was told to empty his pockets after at least one gun was drawn.

Despite repeatedly saying that his car was not stolen, officers placed the rapper in a cruiser car. Eventually, police did check Wilson’s ID and registration. It was at that point they realized their mistake after checking with police dispatchers. Despite accepting McCaskill’s apology, Wilson still alleges that the police were guilty of racial profiling. "He saw me, he saw my car, and in his mind he made a decision," the rapper told the Free Press about the police officer at Starbucks. "I can't read his mind. I really do believe that some kind of racial thing was involved."

MIMI RAGE: Mariah Carey fan throws bottle at another driver who didn't like the Mimi hit "Touch my body!"

Zachary Alan Schreiber, a Mariah Carey fan in Florida, was arrested for throwing a bottle at someone who did not appreciate the song Schreiber was blaring from his car radio.

According to perezhilton.com, Schreiber and William Greenman, who did not like the song, got into a war of words over a Mariah Carey song. Greenman pulled up next to Schreiber's car and verbally abused him. They continued arguing and Schreiber flung a beer bottle at Greenman. Schreiber has been charged with criminal mischief. A call to media relations at the Florida police department involved had the spokesperson telling me that it was "Touch My Body." What kind of antisocial person is that?

Uncle Murda Arrested At LAX Airport For Fake ID!!

Does Uncle Murda ever learn? It's like talking to a wall when I advise this rapper! According to a report from TMZ.com, the rapper (real name: Leonard Grant) was pulled aside by airport security for having a suspicious looking ID. Police then showed up, took Murda into custody, cited him and he was released. He is set to appear in court June 4. Law enforcement told TMZ that the rapper spent $500 for the fake ID.

DMX denies drug charges!

LATEST: Rapper DMX has denied animal cruelty and drug possession charges. The star - real name Earl Simmons - was arrested and charged with seven misdemeanour counts of cruelty at his Arizona home on 9 May (08). Police took five pit bull puppies into care, and discovered a cache of weapons and drugs - which resulted in further charges.

On Thursday (15May08), Simmons was due before Maricopa County Superior Court, but turned up one hour late. He pleaded innocent to the charges and was arraigned to appear on 2 July (08). In 2005, Simmons was sentenced to ten extra days in prison because he was almost two hours late to court, after being sentenced to 70 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation.

OMG! WHAT'S THIS?: Busta's hype man SPLIFF arrested in Sweden for DRUGS?

Rapper BUSTA RHYMES' associate SPLIFF STAR has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession in Stockholm, Sweden. Spliff Star - real name William Lewis - was arrested on Monday (12May08) after police raided the hotel rooms used by Busta Rhymes and Lewis. According to AllHipHop.com, nothing illegal was found in Rhymes' room, but police recovered an unidentified substance in Lewis' hotel suite.

Lewis - who first appeared alongside Rhymes as the Flipmode Squad in 1996 on his album The Coming - was released from police custody, after giving a urine sample for drugs testing. Rhymes - real name Trevor Smith - is currently serving three years probation for assaulting a fan and his former driver in two separate incidents in 2006. Spliff is my boy. Remember that interview I did with Busta back home in Nigeria in 2006, I met Spliff and hung out with him. What a nice down to earth guy! You know the business and how rappers are targeted anyway. THE GAME DEDICATES TRACK TO MURDERED SEAN BELL.

Rapper THE GAME has dedicated a song on his new album to slain SEAN BELL, in a bid to highlight 'police corruption'. The hip-hop star wrote new track 911 Is A Joke following the controversial verdict surrounding the Bell case. Bell was gunned down in New York in 2006. Last week (25Apr08), three New York detectives stood trial for manslaughter and reckless endangerment, but were found not guilty. And The Game - Jayceon Terrell Taylor - felt the Bell family never received justice.

He tells AllHipHop.com, "I'm outraged and speaking out for my generation that are afraid to speak out against police brutality and murder. "I grew up in Compton and had to stay silent because of the fear that was prevalent in my community, but now that I have a voice I'm speaking out. "This could have easily been me, my brother, my family. So this song is for Sean Bell from my heart. My deepest condolences goes out to his family and wife Nicole Bell."
