Breaking News: ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR FOXY BROWN!!

GOODNESS! Does Foxy ever learn? A New York judge has issued a warrant for rapper FOXY BROWN's arrest, after she failed to turn up to court to face allegations of assault, in relation to an incident last year. That will be the Blackberry incident! The MC, real name Inga Marchand, is accused of hitting 25-year-old Arlene Raymond with her Blackberry cell phone in Brooklyn on 30 July 2007. when a heated argument between the two got out of hand. Raymond was taken to Brooklyn Hospital following the incident, and was treated for loose teeth and swelling around her lip and right eye.

Brown was subsequently charged with felony assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon when she turned herself into police. She was released on bail and pleaded not guilty to the counts in October (07). But Brown failed to show for her latest court date at Brooklyn Criminal Court on Monday (05May08), and, as a result, a judge has called for the star's arrest. Brown's own defence attorney admitted he didn't know of her whereabouts and had not heard from her recently. Meanwhile, Raymond has filed suit against Brown for unspecified damages connected to the alleged assault. The hip-hop star was recently released from New York's Riker's Island Prison after serving eight months of a 12-month sentence for probation violations.

Rapper C-Murder has had his request to travel out of the state of Louisiana denied while he awaits a retrial on a second degree murder charge.

The troubled star real name Corey Miller - is currently under house arrest in his New Orleans home after being released on $500,000 bail in March 2006. The 36-year-old brother of hip-hop star Master P stands accused of fatally shooting teenager Steve Thomas outside a local nightclub in 2002. Miller's 2003 conviction was thrown out in 2006 when prosecutors were found guilty of withholding criminal background information on witnesses.

Earlier this month, Miller's lawyers entered a court motion asking for permission to travel to Jackson, Mississippi to attend a book rally that is being sponsored by his company TRU Publishing. However, the request was turned down by a Louisiana judge on Tuesday, reports AllHipHop.com.

Blackberry Dark days Coming: Rapper Foxy Brown dumped by her lawyer just days after release from slammer!

Rapper FOXY BROWN has been dumped by her lawyer. Better start praying for a good new lawyer girl! Damn! What about the upcoming Blackberry throwing trial? Just days after her release from New York prison Riker's Island, the rap star - real name Inga Marchand - learned her attorney, Fred Haddad, no longer wanted to deal with her. He turned his back on her as a client in court on Wednesday (23Apr08), according to internet reports. Haddad was representing Brown in her misdemeanour battery trial over an incident that took place at a beauty supply store last year (07).

But he told Florida Judge Joel Lazarus he was withdrawing from the case because of "irreconcilable differences" with his client. Haddad attacked Brown's handlers in court after learning they had brokered a plea deal with the state attorney's office behind his back. He told Judge Lazarus, "I think the problem is she doesn't like me. I have a problem agreeing to a plea deal. I didn't negotiate this. I put a ton of work into this case." Brown was released from Riker's Island on Friday (18Apr08) after serving eight months of a year-long prison sentence for probation violations. I wish she would stay out of trouble!!!

Foxy Brown gets out of jail next Friday!

Foxy Brown is just about done with her sentence on Riker's Island. In fact, she is set to be release next Friday (April 18), after serving time since last August. Despite reports that her sentence has been cut short, her manager, Chazz Williams, emphasized that she served her full sentence. I don't know how that's possible! My birthday is in August, so I guess I'm partying for 2008 next week.

T.I does his first media interview since the BIG arrest.

Late Thursday afternoon Atlanta rapper-actor T.I. granted his first sit-down interview since he was arrested for, and pled guilty to, three firearms charges last month. He spoke to AJC's Sonia Murray in Atlanta.

Here are some excerpts:

Q: Professionally, what did the night of the BET Hip-Hop Awards (Oct. 13, 2007) mean for you? You were the top nominee. It was happening in your city. That should have been a great day.

A: It was sort of like a, well, you remember the [last] Super Bowl, right? You know Jeremy Shockey? He broke his leg. He had to sit up in the press box and watch. He couldn't help his team win. He couldn't play. The greatest, most talked-about, most publicized Super Bowl in our time and he's sitting watching; instead of actually being able to participate. Terrible. ... And I know, I know, I brought it on myself.

Q: Do you remember Oct. 12, 2007 — that Friday before?

A: We had a very good time. We were living life man — partying. Celebrating. Celebrating success. Being hot. Being hot, working hard. ... I was at [adult entertainment club] 24K. Then I went to Onyx [another adult entertainment club]. Then I went to [the nightclub] Velvet Room. We were at a lot of different places. We had our own little thing we were doing too — a private, members-only party. I actually rolled out of bed from there and went to [the BET] rehearsal. And never made it back.

Q: Sounds like you were having a really good time before ...

A: I was. [Smiles] I was.

Rapper T.I has plead GUILTY to 3 counts of weapons violation!

A tour of the ATL: T.I heading for the car flanked by bodyguards at the Federal courthouse. You can see the CNN World HQ with the red logo on the left background. Once used to be my office in there. You are looking at Atlanta's beautiful skyline. The Olympic bombing happened at the park right behind the CNN building.

Thanks to Bill Rankin and Frank Neimeir of the AJC at the press conference and court hearing aftermath! Atlanta rapper T.I. used the fame he gained glorifying violence in his music to cut a deal Thursday that keeps him out of federal prison in the coming year and on the road preaching nonviolence to kids. T.I., whose real name in Clifford Harris Jr., faced a minimum of 4 years 9 months behind bars after he was caught last fall buying machine guns and silencers in an undercover sting.

But if Harris abides by his extraordinary plea agreement, he will spend less than a year in prison. Before he surrenders to begin serving time, he must perform at least 1,000 hours of community service telling kids about the pitfalls of crime, drugs and gangs and encouraging them to respect the law. The details of Harris' plea deal were outlined Thursday during an hour long hearing in which he pleaded guilty to two charges of illegally possessing firearms and another for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

One of the world's best-known rap artists, Harris was arrested Oct. 13, just hours before he was to receive two awards at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. Harris, 27, wearing a gray sharkskin suit, was smiling as he walked up to a bank of microphones outside the federal courthouse after his plea. He vowed to dedicate himself to changing the lives of young people.

"I'm not looking forward to being incarcerated," Harris said. "I have a long road of redemption to travel. ... I realize completely I violated the law, and I take it very seriously." U.S. District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr. scheduled Harris' sentencing for March 27, 2009. If the musician abides by the conditions of his plea agreement, Pannell is bound to impose a prison sentence of one year plus one day.

He is expected to serve less than a year, however. Because of a quirk in Bureau of Prisons rules, inmates get credit for good behavior — and can carve off 15 percent of their incarcerations — only if they are sentenced to more than a year. The agreement also says that if Harris does not abide by the conditions in his plea and no longer accepts responsibility for his actions, Pannell can slam him with a sentence of more than 8 years in prison. Harris also was fined $100,000 and sentenced to a year's home confinement. He has been out on $3 million bond, and he will get credit for time spent in home confinement since late October and any time he spends at home in the coming year.

BTW, that's Rashan Ali of Hot 107.9FM T.I is hugging. She's a morning show host, Hot is one of Atlanta's 3 hip-hop stations. "He can perform, act in movies [and] carry on with his business until the end of the 12-month period," said Ed Garland, one of Harris' six attorneys. FYI, Ed Garland is one powerful old white man Atlanta Attorney. God forbid if I need him I would have to take a million dollar bank loan! All the while, a private security officer will shadow Harris and report on him if he strays. Carl Lietz, an Atlanta lawyer and former federal defender, expressed astonishment at the agreement. "That is an outstanding deal, given what he was facing," Lietz said. "This is a very unusual, and in my experience, unprecedented way to resolve a case involving these allegations." Sandra has how the whole Grand Hustle family was so thrilled here.

U.S. Attorney David Nahmias defended the deal, saying preventing crime is a paramount objective. "If Mr. Harris performs as expected, his efforts and ability to reach and influence a large number of young people should prevent and deter at least some of them from committing crimes that endanger their communities and ruin their lives," Nahmias said. Steve Sadow, another one of Harris' attorneys, called the agreement "fair and reasonable. ... T.I. knows he's getting a second chance here, and he's going to make the most of it."

Since 1997, Harris has had a string of run-ins with the law that placed him in jail or under arrest, including a 1998 crack cocaine distribution conviction in Cobb County.
His career took off after he devoted himself to rap music. His 2003 CD, "Trap Muzik," was well received and "T.I. vs. T.I.P." topped the charts last summer. In May 2006, tragedy struck Harris after his show before an raucous crowd in Cincinnati. As his entourage drove away, one van was hit by gunfire. One of Harris' friends and assistants was shot and killed, and his head of security was wounded. The shooters have not been identified.

Over the next year and a half, Harris appeared to be assembling enough weaponry to start a war or end one according to the Feds. T.I's personal assistant Philant Johnson who was killed in that shooting was a good friend of mine. I heard while I was in Nigeria and was extremely devastated. Was someone trying to kill T.I? Maybe he was trying to protect himself but as a convicted felon, you can't own a gun!

Ne-Yo has a court date in Cobb County, Georgia!

Court date is March 25th 2008. It's one of the most racist counties in the Atlanta area. Good luck to Ne-Yo! As you know, he was clocked for reckless driving a few weeks ago. It is the one county that almost broke T.I's back during the drug conviction shit of 2004. The prosecutors over there are absolute race mongers. Disgusting and a bad name for white people. They will find a way to ruin you......
