RAPPER BUCKSHOT OF BLACKMOON HOSPITALISED!

BLACK MOON rapper BUCKSHOT has been hospitalised after suffering a series of seizures.
The Brooklyn-based hip-hop star was forced to seek emergency medical treatment after returning from a tour in Europe. He is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

No other details about the rapper's medical condition were available. Buckshot's hospitalisation means the rap trio has been forced to reschedule a reunion concert in New York which was due to take place yesterday on Friday (26Sep08).

A statement from the star's Duck Down Records music label reads,

"While of course we are disappointed to have to reschedule a sold out show, obviously nothing takes precedent over Buckshot's health. If he could walk out of that hospital on his own right now I know he would have been on that stage. He was truly looking forward to this night."

The show has been rearranged for 11 November (08) and disappointed fans have been offered refunds.

Disappointed fans when the artist had a seizure? What kind of priorities do people have these days? I like those lab experiment videos of his. We wish Buckshot a speedy recovery.

Rihanna is the in-star and she can also get more albums sold too. I really commend her humanitarian work but is it all the time a celebrity helps in getting a bone marrow donor for a desperate patient?

A certain friend of mine died in the quest for looking for the right marrow for years, yet her brother was the celebrity who was championing her cause! The venues.......imagine ordinary venues would not even let him use their spot to get blacks and other minorities to come out and donate blood. Other blacks prevented him from using their spot. Now Rihanna helps a white woman get a donor in less than 2 weeks. Does that send a race message on how we blacks sometimes don't focus on the right things?

Nelly was disrespectful to women in his tip drill video.......yadadadayada, so they didn't want him on their campus! To you ladies of Spelman College in Atlanta, Jackie was even one of you. She even attended there as a current student before her illness got worse. I was in the process of securing a huge Atlanta megachurch to volunteer their premises for a donation day when Jackie passed away. FANTASIA TELLS U.S WOMEN'S MAGAZINE SISTER 2 SISTER SHE HAD A THROAT TUMOR!!!

I read this somewhere last week but then checked on the source and below are portions of her interview with Jamie Foster-Brown the Editor.

Jamie: You are a helluva performer. That energy on that stage is just unbelievable. So we miss you with that. Now, getting back to the Color Purple. They were saying you had absences. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to work, but because your vocal cords kept shutting down or something? Tell me about that.

Fantasia: The tumor that was on my throat would make me very tired. And you know me, I’m a hard worker. I came out of the box working hard. I kept telling them that I’m getting very tired. It was like I couldn’t get enough sleep. And sometimes onstage, I could taste blood. I had braces on, so [I thought] maybe I’m biting my lip or I’m biting something in my gums or something. But I would taste blood every now and then. And what would happen was they would send me to the hospitals and they would say, “Well, she’s dehydrated; that’s what’s making her tired.” They would put IVs in me.

But it just wasn’t enough. I kept saying, “I’m drinking water; it can’t be that, something else must be wrong.” And so after the Color Purple, after doing Clive Davis’s party, I had to do “I’m Here” that night and I remember waking up and I told my manager, I said, “Something is wrong. I’m so tired.” And I’m an Energizer bunny, so I know something ain’t right. I went to one of the best doctors in LA. He checked me out, he says, “Well, first of all, you have the flu and you have a sinus infection.” And he said, “But if you don’t mind, can I put a camera down your throat?” And so I let him look down my throat and I had a cyst, he said at first.

He let me see it and I remember busting out crying and crying ’cause my vocal is my everything. I’ve been singing ever since I was a little baby and I’ve never experienced anything like that before. And in The Color Purple I play so many different ages from 14 to 30-something, so I was busting blood vessels. And so my mother came out and we all were just like, okay, we’re going to pray our way through this. I went into surgery and he came out and told my mother it was a tumor. It was a tumor. Run-DMC's Darryl McDaniels Hospitalized. Underwent SURGERY TODAY!

Darryl McDaniels, better known as rapper DMC from the group Run-DMC, has been hospitalized in New Jersey, his rep tells PEOPLE. Doctors examined McDaniels, who was suffering from pain and swelling in his left arm, and discovered two major blood clots. He is undergoing surgery Friday. McDaniels, 44, had been scheduled to perform Saturday at the AVP Beach Volleyball Tournament; the appearance was canceled.

Since Run-DMC disbanded in 2002, McDaniels has kept busy with a solo career. He was featured in the video game Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and is working on his second solo album, tentatively titled The Next Level.

WILL.I.AM'S KNUCKLE RAP.

BLACK EYED PEAS rapper WILL.I.AM has a scar on his knuckle from filming fight scenes in forthcoming film X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE - because he accidentally punched a camera lens. The Heartbreaker hitmaker - real name William Adams - makes his feature film debut in the upcoming movie in the latest outing of the hit comic book franchise, which is due out next year (09). He tells MTV News,

"You see that little scar I've got on my knuckles? "I'm a newbie when it comes to big action films and stuff... It was my fight scene. I was real into it, and then I missed my mark, and I punched the camera and broke the lens!" And the star admits that it took him 50 takes before the director was happy with his scene. He adds, "But that goes to show you. I ain't to be messed with, because I break lenses!"

KELLY ROWLAND TAKES HIV TEST FOR CHARITY.

R&B singer KELLY ROWLAND will undergo a HIV and Aids test in Africa to raise awareness of the deadly diseases - in a bid to try and dissolve the stigma surrounding the illnesses. The former Destiny's Child star decided to visit Nairobi to encourage the country's young people to get tested for the illness, which is rife in the Kenyan capital. Rowland is an ambassador for MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, which aims to reduce discrimination against HIV and Aids victims, and has visited projects in Tanzania and Kenya to promote the charity.

She says, "Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to HIV infection, and it is important for everyone to know their HIV status. "The quicker you know your status, the sooner you can receive treatment if you're HIV+, and reduce the risk of inadvertently infecting future partners."

EXHAUSTED BLIGE SCRAPS AUSTRALIAN TOUR!

MARY J BLIGE has cancelled what was to be her first Australasian tour, citing exhaustion. The weary R&B star, who is currently performing dates in Britain, will not be making the trip to Australia this weekend as planned, for shows that were billed to start in Perth on 10 June (08). Instead, the dates in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand will now take place in November (08). In a statement released on Friday (06Jun08), tour promoter Michael Chugg said he accepted Blige was too tired to make the trip Down Under at this time.

He reveals Blige's "overwhelming tour schedule" has left her desperate for a rest and he agreed it would not be feasible to proceed with the tour as planned. He explains, "We won't risk health complications or undue stress for the artist." Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Blige says, "I am so disappointed that I won't be able to make it to Australia and New Zealand for the June tour as planned. "I want to thank all of my wonderful fans who supported the announcement of my first tour in these countries and I can't tell you how excited I was to come down in June and put on a show for you all. Postponing these shows has been an extremely difficult decision for me and I am sincerely sorry that I will not be able to fulfil my tour commitments."

HEALTH WARNING FORCED MISSY TO DIET.

Rapper MISSY ELLIOTT trimmed down her bulky figure when a doctor told her she was hurtling towards an early grave. The Get Ur Freak On hitmaker was stunned when a medic urged her to lose weight or risk tipping her high blood pressure problems over the edge - because fans and record company bosses never had a problem with her size. She reveals, "The reason I lost weight is because I have high blood pressure. I take two blood pressure pills a day. "My doctor told me, 'If you wanna be around , you're gonna have to lose weight.' So that was my focus." There she is back home in Nigeria onstage at the ThisDay Music festival in 2006.

SOLANGE KNOWLES BREAKS HER FOOT.

BEYONCE KNOWLES' singer sister SOLANGE was hospitalised at the weekend after breaking her foot at the beginning of her U.S. tour. The star was in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday (01Jun08) to perform tracks from her new album Sol-Angel when the accident occurred.

A representative for Knowles, 21, said in a statement: "As Solange entered the stage in Kansas City, a large piece of metal fell from the doorway and onto her foot, breaking it. "Ms Knowles continued to head out to the stage and performed her full set while in extreme pain. Immediately following her performance, she was rushed to the hospital where she learned her foot was indeed broken." Knowles will complete the remainder of her tour with her foot in a cast. She will perform some of her set seated, due to the injury.

Eve suffered anxiety attack on plane to the land down under!

Rapper EVE suffered a minor panic attack on a flight to Australia - but denies it was because she was sharing cabin space with superstar 50 CENT. She's got two strikes against her there. 50 being your neighbor and then Australia is a 28 hour flight right?

The Who's That Girl? star will perform at the MTV Australia Awards 2008 at Sydney's Australian Technology Park on 26 April (08). But the star blamed her anxiety on performing in the country for the first time - and denies she was starstruck after sharing a flight with 50 Cent.

She says, "Yeah, I was having a little panic attack. Getting up on stage in a different country always makes you as nervous as you are excited." Looks like she was OK after clearing her baggage above....LOL!

Leona Lewis is a damn good singer and she is not taking chances on that voice yet! In 2003, Frenchie Davis was dropped from "Idol" because of a previous appearance on an adult Web site. In contrast, the Fox talent show took no action this season when contestant David Hernandez's stint as a nightclub stripper was revealed or when racy photos of Antonella Barba surfaced last season on the Internet. We know Fox is a fraud but this story is about Frenchie facing throat surgery to remove a vocal cord polyp. Same goes for Leona Lewis, the currently hot British R&B singer. MTV bans music video for causing seizures!

I need to call my pal Crystal Puccio at MTVN`s VH1 to see if they are banning it over there too. This video for Gnarls Barkley's new single, "Run," may feature a cameo from Justin Timberlake, but it's still not quite ready to air on MTV. That's because of its strobe effects, which caused the clip to fail the Harding Test -- guidelines established to prevent TV images from triggering epileptic seizures. I saw a clip in a press release and I was dizzy. This is serious stuff!

L'il Wayne is working hard to shrink his brain!

L'il Wayne explained to the audience that sipping syrup — a combination made up chiefly of promethazine and codeine, which is supposed to be prescribed by doctors for severe colds and pneumonia — is a part of the culture in the South (although Philadelphia is also notorious for syrup). The Wednesday show had Toni talked about her son with her husband Keri Lewis formerly of R&B group "Mint Condition" on how they are coping with taking care of 3-year-old Deziel. As you know she broke down last year crying on"The View" when she learned about this diagnosis. We all did and we are all worn out. Look how tired she looked......Keep her in your prayers please.

Introducing the Donda West Medical Law in California.

A California assemblywoman says the death of Kanye West's mother shows that patients should be required to have medical clearance before undergoing elective cosmetic surgery.

Donda West, 58, died at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Nov. 10, a day after she underwent breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction procedures.

Democrat Wilmer Amina Carter says Donda West's niece asked her to introduce a bill that requires a health check before a person chooses to have cosmetic surgery. She introduced the "Donda West Law" on Friday.

A coroner's autopsy report found that West most likely died of heart disease coupled with complications after plastic surgery. But, it said the exact cause of death couldn't be known.

Donda West's niece, Yolanda Anderson, says Kanye is enthusiastic about the bill.
