SHERYL CROW'S NATIONAL ANTHEM TEARS...

SHERYL CROW was ecstatic when she was asked to record an inspirational track for the USA Olympics team - because she's a huge fan of motivational music at sporting events. The singer has penned an exclusive song for the upcoming AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, which will be used as a tool to motivate American Olympians in Beijing, China next month (Aug08).

And Crow was eager to get involved with the record - admitting she becomes emotionally moved when athletes sing along to their country's official song. She tells People.com, "I'm a sucker for the vignettes, the back stories. It's my favourite thing to just sit in front of the TV and cry when each national anthem is played." Rapper Nelly will also feature on the soundtrack, which will be released in the U.S. to coincide with the Olympic Games.
